SOLAR MODULES SOAR IN ENERGY EFFICIENT HOUSING
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 11, 2007
Anthony Brothers Construction Takes New Route to Building with its Sustainable Housing Pilot Project in Montague, NJ
"This timely project will not only save home owners money but will reduce emissions as well as foster energy independence." Gerald (Jerry) Anthony, CEO of Anthony Brothers
Construction is currently building a sustainable home in Montague, NJ. Since 1978, Anthony has had over 500 clients in his professional career. In the past, he focused
on residential construction but has had his heart in energy-efficient shelter since college.
This Delaware Heights Sustainable Housing Project is the first of its type in the area. These houses are intended to be affordable as well as attractive and comfortable.
Anthony's use of new technologies such as a ground-assisted geothermal heating and cooling system that absorbs heat from the ground, solar photovoltaic cells and "extreme"
insulation are combined with traditional high-quality windows and doors as well as common sense construction techniques that limit air infiltration.
The solar modules are an integral part of the roof and act as a clean-powered generator entitling the homeowner to cash rebates from the government. Widespread use of
this type of construction would have the cumulative effect of reducing greenhouse gases and pollution.
Phase 1 will be completed in the spring of 2008.
